The Belgian Grand Prix is a high-speed motorsport race held in Belgium with single-seaters. It is currently valid for the Formula 1 World Championship. Formula 3000 International accompanied Formula 1 in 1987 and from 1991 to 2004. Its successor, the GP2 Series, has done the same since 2005.
The first Belgian national race was held in the Spa region, in an area that has been associated with motor sports since the early years of racing in the late 19th century.
