Day dedicated to the visit of the Cinecittà studios. An immersive exhibition traces the history, from its birth in the thirties until today.

You can also visit the famous sets, with original sets and memorabilia.

In the first years of activity, Cinecittà is the place where comedies and musical works are produced, during the years of World War II the studios were looted and left to decay until, thanks to the great American production houses, the studies managed to get out of the crisis. The sets of Cinecittà returned to their glory starting from the 50s and 60s thanks to the great Italian directors such as Fellini, Pasolini and Visconti who in Cinecittà saw a fascinating world able to convey their creative ideas on film.

In all, more than three thousand films have been made to date, in the studios, 90 of which have received an Oscar nomination and 47 have won the prestigious statuette.

Afternoon off.

Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 3
Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Trastevere area for a guided tour of the district, Villa Farnesina lasting about 3 hours.

The tour includes a visit to that corner of Rome that not all tourists know, a place where you can discover the stories and anecdotes of the lives of the true Romans.

At the end of the guided tour you will discover a couple of locations of a film that has become a cult in the history of Italian cinema, Un sacco bello, debut film of the Roman par excellence, Carlo Verdone, dated 1979. The film sees the participation of important names such as Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone.

This is Verdone’s first real film, which also directed and starred in several roles in the film.

The first location is located in the center of the Trastevere district in Porta Settimiana, which has already been the site of neo-realist films of the 70’s. Under this famous arch takes place the famous scene where Leo risks being hit by Ruggero’s father, and where he then meets Marisol, is between Via S. Dorotea and Via Garibaldi, in front of Porta Settimiana, in Trastevere. The second important location is the Bioparco in Rome, where another scene of Verdone’s film takes place.
